• Dismissed the administrative commissions that
   o installed Rhoda Brumfield (pastor, Richwood) and Kathleen Burslem
      Haines (pastor, Calvin)
   o ordained Lydia Casey Balmos (Mt. Washington) as a minister of the
      Word and Sacrament.

• Requested each of the churches with majority racial ethnic membership continue to send one additional elder commissioner to presbytery meetings. The churches are Bond Hill, Carmel, Korean, Third, West Cincinnati and Winton Hills.

• Approved additional funds necessary to complete a two-year audit; money had previously been budgeted for a one-year audit.

• Received as a first reading a proposed amendment to the presbytery bylaws that would add a member of the Personnel Committee to Presbytery Council.

• Learned that the presbytery trustees have given permission to Fairfax Church to explore the possibility of selling its church building.

• Approved 2010 terms of call for ministers serving as pastors or associate pastors.

• Validated the ministry of Cinda Gorman as Seasons of Purpose Life Coach.

• Commissioned Pat Brown (Kennedy Heights) as commissioned lay pastor to serve at Norwood.

• Commissioned Deborah Ramey (Lakeside) as commissioned lay pastor to serve at Hartwell.

• Appointed moderators: Barbara Tesorero to Norwood and Nathan Wright to Immanuel.

• Appointed Chris White as stated supply of Christ Church.

• Renewed agreements for one interim pastor and four stated supplies to continue service.

• Designated Cecil Albright (former pastor, Immanuel) as honorably retired.

• Renewed agreements for four commissioned lay pastors to continue service.

• Elected presbytery officers: Council Chair Nancy Schmidt (Pleasant Ridge), Treasurer Jim McVicker (Heritage), and (to assume office in September) Moderator Cinda Gorman.

• Thanked out-going officers: Council Chair Tom York (pastor, Knox) and Treasurer Ev Landen (Knox).

• Elected Alan Landes (pastor, Crestview) to Presbytery Council.

• Elected ordination readers: Vicki Abend (elder, Mt. Washington), Amy Snow (assistant chaplain, Children’s Hospital), Terry Webster (pastor, Ft. Thomas First) and alternate Kathy Barlow Westmoreland (pastor, St. John’s Westminster).

• Dissolved the administrative commission that worked with Aurora First: Kevin Murphy (pastor, Northwest), George Betz (elder, West Union), Denise Pass (at-large), David Ealy (associate pastor, Lakeside) and Renee Kreisa (elder, St. John’s Westminster).

• Recognized and thanked David and Carol Legg (Mt. Washington) for their work with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.

• Heard Dr. Walter Brueggemann, pastor emeritus of Old Testament at Columbia Theological Seminary speak on “Text, Context, Vision and Stamina.”

• Commissioned commissioners, advisory delegates and alternates to the 219th General Assembly.

• Examined and approved Rich Jones (Northminster) for ordination as a minister of the Word and Sacrament and called him to serve as designated associate pastor at Northminster.

• Decided to put the property of the former Seventh Church up for sale.
