systematically grant reprieves to all persons sentenced
to death, pending the report of the commission.
EXAMINED and approved Richard Jones
(Northminster) as a candidate for ministry of the Word
and Sacrament.

of Order amendment that would require new members to
publically profess their faith, even if they had
previously done so at another church.
VOTED “yes” on ecumenical statements
between the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the Roman
Catholic Church, the Episcopal Church, the Korean
Presbyterian Church in America and the Moravian Church
(Northern and Southern Provinces).
ELECTED committee members.
APPROVED the 2009 Presbytery Budget.
HELD the first reading of a motion
that proposes amending the Presbytery Bylaws to
eliminate the Associate Presbyter staff position. The
presbytery will consider the motion at its February
meeting.
DISSOLVED the Associate Presbyter
relationship between the Rev. Yvette Dalton and the
presbytery.
LEARNED that the property of the
former Delhi First Church was auctioned for $60,000.
HEARD Treasurer Ev Landen’s annual
report.
AUTHORIZED the celebration of the
Lord’s Supper in 2009 by several presbytery groups.
DISMISSED commissions that ordained
Michelle McSwain Bacon (interim associate pastor,
Heritage) and Thomas Emery (interim pastor, Mowrystown)
and installed Nicholas Yoda (pastor, Pleasant Ridge).
RECEIVED a written report from
commissioners to this fall’s Synod Assembly. |
