ATTENDED a pre-meeting Social Justice and Peacemaking Fair.

SHARED joys & concerns.

REMOVED John Baer (Mt. Auburn) and Jean Holmes (College Hill) from the rolls of inquirers.

DESIGNATED Kandy Stone (Director of Children’s Ministry, Mt. Washington) a “Recognized Christian Educator”.  This grants her voice at presbytery meetings.

HEARD about Council appointments to the Presbytery Name Mission Team:  Matt Fischer (Wyoming), Bill Madison (Carmel), Alexa Naramore (Knox), Jerry Pruitt (Sardinia First) and Jim Steiner (associate pastor, Madeira-Silverwood).  In May the presbytery authorized Council to assemble a group to develop a process for considering a presbytery name change.

LEARNED that about 135 individuals attended six cluster gatherings held throughout the presbytery on October 30.

ELECTED William Westmoreland (stated supply, Wilson Memorial) as chair of the Nominating Committee.

ADOPTED Examination Guidelines.

HEARD reports about the presbytery’s Hurricane Recovery Team’s trip to the Gulfport, MS area in October.

RECEIVED greetings from Patricia Habasila, an ecumenical partner from the Presbytery of Zambia, who has been visiting Greenhills Community Church, Presbyterian.

AUTHORIZED Reading-Lockland Church to lease the use of property to Iglesia de Dios (Church of God) and increased the amount of money Knox Church may borrow in order to pay for its building expansion.

ELECTED individuals to serve on committees, boards, and ecumenical agencies.

ELECTED to next year’s General Assembly --  Elder Commissioners:  George Betz (Union), Barbara Harrison (Sycamore) and Susan Ingmire  (Mt. Auburn).  Minister Commissioners:  Cinda Gorman (co-pastor, Westwood First), Tom James (co-pastor, Glendale First) and Maurice Mitchell (pastor, Hillsboro First). Youth Advisory Delegate Jack Murphy (Lakeside).  Alternate Commissioners:  Elder Sharlyn “Sam” Stare (College Hill) and the Rev. Jim Steiner (associate pastor, Madeira-Silverwood).

APPROVED changes in pastoral relationships:
Michael Brewer from pastor, Crescent Springs to pastor, Blue Ash
Markus Watson former associate pastor, Union to Presbytery of San Diego
Deb Uchtman to temporary supply, Bethel Murdoch Church

VALIDATED the ministry of Gary Hartoin, a minister who teaches at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy.

UPDATED the presbytery’s compensation guidelines for ministers, commissioned lay pastor, and certified Christian educators.

DISMISSED administrative commissions who had installed Lance Jones (pastor, Venice), Denise Pass (associate pastor, Crestview),  and Dana Stout (Aurora First).

AUTHORIZED the celebration of the Lord’s Supper by groups in 2008:  Presbytery Youth Council, Presbyterian Women of the Presbytery, presbytery mission trip teams, and SIFT (Searching in Faith Together).

APPROVED changes in synod by-laws concerning the number of commissioners and other participants.

WORSHIPED by giving thanks for the lives of elders who died in the past year and hearing Dr. Alfred Gottschalk’s (chancellor emeritus, Hebrew Union College) insights into world peace.
