Dismissed the administrative commissions that

• installed ministers Jana Reister (associate pastor, Knox), Ion Jong Koh (pastor, Korean), Amy Duiker (associate pastor, Heritage Church), Mark Mong (pastor, Mowrystown), James Goff (pastor, Williamsburg First), and Kevin Murphy (pastor, Northwest Community).

• ordained Rhoda Brumfield as a minister of the Word and Sacrament.

Renewed permission for four ministers to service beyond the jurisdiction of the church.

Renewed agreements for seven elders to serve as commissioned lay pastors (CLP).

Designated Ruth Dunn (HR) as mentor to Wayne Reveal (CLP, Ripley First).

Authorized the Committee on Ministry (COM) to renew CLP contracts, designate ministers honorably retired, and designate mentors to CLPs.   

Renewed agreements for several ministers to serve as interim pastors.

Designated Yvette Dalton (member at-large) as honorably retired.

Enrolled Amy Snow as a member of the presbytery and granted permission for her to serve as assistant chaplain, Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital and Medical Center.

Dissolved the associate pastor relationship between Denise Pass and Crestview Church.

Elected Thom Shuman (interim pastor, Glendale) chair of the Committee on Church Order.

Elected members to presbytery committees and Permanent Judicial Commission.

Elected George Hufford (Wyoming) as elder commissioner to the Synod of the Covenant.

Elected commissioners and advisory delegates to the 219^th General Assembly to be held this summer

• elder commissioners David Corum Fox (West Union) and Gregg Rabenold (Heritage).

• minister commissioners Stephen Eyre (in service beyond the jurisdiction) and Holly Robertson (associate. pastor, Mt. Washington)

• alternate commissioners – elder Dean Shupe (Union), minister Chris White (member at-large).

• young adult advisory delegate – Christopher Harris (College Hill).

• theological student advisory delegate – Dawn Black (Northminster; Louisville Seminary).

INFORMATION SHARED

Council – appointment of task force to study and make a recommendation about the presbytery’s mission in East Walnut Hills and the disposition of property of the former Seventh Church.

Trustees – progress of audits; sale of Salem property by Northwest Community Church; merger of the corporation of the former Seventh Church into the presbytery’s corporation.

Church Order – schedule for reviews of session records in 2010.

Committee on Ministry – actions taken on behalf of the presbytery including

• calls to pastors Kevin Murphy (Northwest Community) and Kathleen Haines (Calvin).

• dissolution of pastoral relationship between Will Jones and Dry Ridge Church.

• designation of members at-large upon their completion of service as stated supplies:  Chris White (Norwood) and Chip Hall (Winton Hills).

• dismissals of ministers to other presbyteries:  Louisa Baer to Central Florida, James Brazell to Western New York, and Richard McNeill to Charlotte.

• appointment of moderators.

• distribution of Christmas checks to spouses of deceased ministers and CLPs.

Committee on Preparation for Ministry – enrollment of inquirer Sungduk Yun (College Hill).
