The Pastors Urban Ministry Network (PUM) is for ministers
of the Presbytery of Cincinnati who are serving
congregations in the urban neighborhoods of our presbytery
and/or who have a passion for urban ministry. |
Key Contacts: the Rev. Chip Hall (stated supply,
Winton Hills)
the Rev. Susan Bryan (pastor,
Mt. Auburn) |
Mission: "Bear one another's burdens and in this way you
will fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2)
We exist to strengthen urban ministry in our presbytery by
providing mutual support and encouragement of one another in
the context of the challenging environment of urban ministry
by: |
- meeting regularly to share joys, concerns and
resources
- listening to God's Spirit in prayer, conversation,
and intentional discernment, being open to possibilities
of growth and shared ministry efforts
- praying for one another, our ministries and the
Presbytery of Cincinnati.

|
Objectives for the coming year are to: |
- strengthen relationship and deepen trust among
the members of the group
- respond to specific needs of our colleagues in
addition to prayer
- organize a joint officer training event
- find ways to address the perceived needs of some
of our congregations
- strengthen connections between urban
congregations and the rest of the presbytery.
