The partnership between the K'anhab'al and Cincinnati
presbyteries began in 1998. Since then there have been
nine visits from Cincinnati to Guatemala.
So far, 16 churches have had members visit Guatemala, and
16 churches have been involved in
hosting K'anhab'al representatives during their visits in
2001 and 2004.
We are building relationships in a land very different from ours: much
poorer, where quality healthcare and education are difficult to come by.
Yet it is a land where our brothers and sisters in Christ seek our
prayers and our partnership. The K'anhab'ales are some of the gentlest,
most spiritually committed, generous people on the planet. Our growing
partnership has received national recognition in Glimpses and Presbyterians
Today.
