Contemporary Worship Music Leader -- part-time
Basic description: We are looking for a dynamic individual with good vocal skills to lead worship and direct a small praise band (vocals, guitar, bass, drums) at two contemporary worship services a month.  Should have experience working with an ensemble and be able to lead congregational singing.  Should be comfortable with public speaking and leading congregational prayer.  Keyboard or guitar skills would be a preferred but not required 

Position Requirements:
-
Strong, enthusiastic commitment to Jesus as Lord,
- Ability to play from a lead sheet (fake book style),
- Strong enough vocals to lead congregational singing,
- Ability to lead, develop and nurture musical skills in others and to assist other singers in finding harmonies if needed,
- Familiarity with contemporary Christian music
- Ability to lead other musicians at a rehearsal.  Must be open to ideas from the group and be confident to make musical decisions as the need arises.
- Experience in leading or singing in contemporary worship.
Ability to communicate well through e-mail and over the phone.

Duties:
-
Select appropriate songs for each service (typically six songs per service).
- Prepare any necessary arrangements and copies for the band.  Preparing CD’s of upcoming new songs is also very helpful for the other musicians.
- Lead rehearsal for each service.  Also arrive early on Sunday for a run-through before the service begins.
- Lead worship and praise band at two services per month (first and second Sundays of each month at 10:15 am).
- Work with PowerPoint technician to make sure lyrics to be displayed for the congregation are accurate (via e-mail).
- Reports to Co-Pastors and Director of Music and interfaces with Worship and Music Committee of Session

Director of Christian Education Ministries
The following full-time position deals with the breadth of Christian Education with emphasis on working with the volunteers who lead our Sunday School, Middle and High School Youth Groups, Young Adult Fellowship (ages 18 – 32) and Adult Discipleship Classes.

We are seeking that person who:
 - is a strong, mature Christian, passionate about people of all ages growing in their faith.
 - is a self-starter and well organized in short and long range planning.   
 - is a “people-person” who enjoys working with others, listening to their ideas and concerns and helpful in putting mutual concerns into practice.  - desirable: academic background or professional experience in Bible/theology, education/ministry, administration/leadership training.

The major tasks of this ministry include:
 - recruiting, training and providing oversight of all volunteers
 - working with the Christian Education Committee and church staff.
 - discovering and organizing various curriculum in use.
 - guiding the volunteers toward local mission opportunities and  mission trips.   
 - communicating with families and the larger church
 - administration of these Christian Education programs, especially Sunday School.
