MIAMI UNIVERSITY MEN'S GLEE CLUB

Exuberance abounds when young men raise their voices in song! Founded in 1907 and currently numbering over 100 singers, the Miami University Men's Glee Club is among the oldest and largest groups of its kind in the nation.  With a repertoire including everything from Gregorian Chant to modern popular music, the Glee Club's performance is sure to warm up a cold winter's day.

The Faux Frenchmen

The Faux Frenchmen--Brian Lovely and George Cunningham, acoustic guitar; Don Aren, acoustic bass; Paul Patterson, violin--take us to 1930's France with their take on gypsy jazz.  Blend gypsy music and popular music with the sounds of American jazz greats like Duke Ellington, Fats Waller and Louis Armstrong, and the result is gypsy jazz.


 

THE POWERFUL ORGAN

Westwood First organist Heather MacPhail holds forth on the 67-rank Miller pipe organ.  Featured on the program will be an exciting arrangement of Holst's Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from The Planets.  Guest organist Bryan Mock of Christ Church Glendale will join Ms. MacPhail for some impressive four-hand organ arrangements.
