Dismissed the Administrative Commission that installed Kathy Barlow Westmoreland as Pastor of St. John's Westminster Union Church. Changes in Call:
Discerning Our Call in the Midst of Struggle In a time when the church is struggling with tough issues, how can we hear God’s call to work together? How can we come to respect, trust and value Christian brothers and sisters with whom we have great differences? Our purpose for the evening is to begin building trust and respect. By hearing Barbara Wheeler (Covenant Network) and Jack Haberer (Presbyterian Coalition, Presbyterians for Renewal), we can see how these two members of the General Assembly’s Theological Task Force for Peace, Unity, and Purity of the church have come to care about and respect each other despite their theological differences. Using the small group sharing model, known as mutual or gracious invitation, we can take steps to restore fellowship with those whom we have differed in the past. Reservations for dinner ($5/person) are required. Contact the presbytery office at 513-221-4850, 1-888-221-4238, or office@presbyteryofcincinnati.org EVERYONE IS INVITED and ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND!
