HEARD updates about the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Board of Pensions from regional rep Ernesto Badillo.

LEARNED about the ministries of Kathleen Andress-Angi and Joseph Angi, PCUSA mission workers in Hungary and Lebanon.

WELCOMED Sandra "Sandy" Phillips to the presbytery office staff.  She is serving as Administration and Finance Coordinator.

APPROVED three proposed amendments to the Book of Order:  06-D -- Opening the Committee on Ministry to Access by Commissioned Lay Pastors; 06-E -- Clarifying Voting Rights of Members of the Synod; and
06-F -- Naming Certified Christian Educators as Mandated Reporters of Child Abuse.

ELECTED people to serve on presbytery committees.

RECEIVED a proposed policy for background checks of ministers, commissioned lay pastors, presbytery staff, and Christian educators.  Action on the policy will be taken at the January presbytery meeting.

HEARD an update about the presbytery's Young Adult Volunteer program and reflections from YAVs Eleanor Held (serving at Norwood Church) and Mary Blacklock (serving at Kennedy Heights Church).

CELEBRATED signs of transformation in the ministry of Carmel Church:  an annual health fair with over 3500 participants; a cooperative effort with Children's Hospital providing outreach to young, first-time mothers; and an increase in the number of community children and youth who participate in the life of the church.

APPROVED changes in calls:
    Mary Ann Banning from Associate Pastor, Mt. Washington to Pastor,
         Mishawaka, IN           
   Susan Duker from at-large to Interim Associate Pastor, Mt. Washington  
   Ronald Fritts from the Presbytery of Donegal to Interim Pastor, Wyoming
   Jean Holmes from at-large to Honorably Retired
   J. Lance Jones from the Presbytery of Arkansas to Pastor, Venice
   L. P. Jones from the Presbytery of Detroit to Pastor, Mt. Washington
   John Muntz from Interim Pastor, Mt. Washington to Honorably Retired
   Charles Myser from at-large to Hospice Staff Chaplain, St. Elizabeth
        Medical Center

CELEBRATED the ministry of Patricia Linnemann (former pastor, Calvary and Fairfax) upon her retirement.

WORSHIPED through a Taize prayer service, lifting up joys & concerns and giving thanks for elders and ministers whose earthly lives ended during the past year.  The offering was collected for hunger ministries designated by Beecher Church and by West Chester Church.

CELEBRATED signs of transformation in the ministry of Christ Church: improving facilities that better welcome visitors and surpassing goals set to increase membership, worship attendance, and church school attendance.

APPROVED the 2007 Budget.

DISMISSED the administrative commission that installed the Rev. Allan Lane as Pastor, Batavia First Church.

AUTHORIZED the celebration of the Lord's Supper at the December meeting of Presbyterian Women of the Presbytery.

RECEIVED a report from Anita Reed (Reading-Lockland) on behalf of the commissioners to the most recent Synod Assembly.

REFERRED a motion from James Carroll (Pleasant Run) to the Committee on Ministry.
