LISTENED to readings from the works of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

SHARED joys and concerns.

CONSIDERED two proposed overtures to the next General Assembly. The proposed overture concerning G-6.0106b was not approved 38 yes/113 no/ 1 abstention. The proposed overture concerning the 1978 UPCUSA policy statement and 1979 PCUS paper on homosexuality was approved 79 yes/ 74 no/ 4 abstentions.

WAIVED examination requirements for the Rev. Allan Lane (Presbyterian Church in Canada) should he be called to a church in the Presbytery of Cincinnati.

EXAMINED and approved two Inquirers for Candidacy: Thomas Emery (Madeira-Silverwood) and Keith Jones (Richwood). The presbytery has enrolled John Baer (Mt. Auburn) as an Inquirer.

CELEBRATED the anniversaries of the recognition of women's call to ordained ministry: 100 years as deacons, 75 years as elders, and 50 years as ministers of the Word and sacraments.

ENCOURAGED one another to stand up for the poor by urging our legislators to raise the minimum wage.

PARTICIPATED in workshops dealing with worship and the arts.

HEARD from three presbytery teams that have worked in the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance hurricane relief efforts in East Biloxi, MS. More teams plan to help this spring and summer.

WORSHIPPED. The offering was collected for hunger ministries designated by Blue Ash and Seaman United churches.

APPROVED changes in call:
The Rev. Mary Holmes Banner to the Presbytery of New Hope
The Rev. Jan Dykstra from Interim Associate Pastor (Wyoming) to honorably retired
The Rev. Stephen Eyre from Associate Pastor (College Hill) to member at-large
The Rev. Ethan Raath to the Presbytery of Denver

AUTHORIZED Elder Patricia Brown to preside at the Lord's Supper at Pleasant Run Church when asked to do so by its Session.

AUTHORIZED the sale of the manse and parking lot owned by Seventh Church.

ELECTED members to committees and people to attend this year's General Assembly: the Rev. Rhonda O'Reilly (member at-large) as a commissioner and Curtis Miguel Carlin (Community of Faith) as a youth advisory delegate. They join previously elected commissioners Christine Harrison (Carmel), Tren Meyer (Wyoming), and the Rev. Russell Smith (pastor, Covenant-First).

AUTHORIZED the celebration of the Lord's Supper during this year's meetings of the Peace Unity and Purity Society and events held by the Presbytery Youth Council.

DISMISSED the administrative commission that installed the Rev. Kristin Moore as Pastor of Cranston Memorial Church.

GRANTED a waiver of G-14.202a requirements so that Venice Church may elect an elder to a third successive term on Session.
